Drain & Sewer

At Capri Plumbing, we handle everything from drain cleaning to extensive drain and sewer replacements. We take pride in ensuring every home we service has flowing water.

Sewer lines are often the most overlooked plumbing component in our homes because we take running water and flushing toilets for granted. When a stoppage or overflow occurs, it can feel overwhelming. However, our skilled technicians at Capri Plumbing are equipped to tackle any drain and sewer issue in your home.

Fun Fact: Your sewer system relies on DWV (Drain, Waste, and Ventilation).

If any of these three components are out of alignment, it can cause minor or major sewer issues in your home.

Drain & Sewer Services

Descale & Epoxy

Descaling and epoxy coating are excellent long-term solutions for addressing underlying issues in your home's drainage system. These methods are minimally invasive, making them ideal for rejuvenating drains without extensive disruption.

Descaling is particularly beneficial for homes with cast-iron drains that suffer from scale build-up. This process effectively restores proper flow by removing the accumulated scale from the inner diameter of the pipes.

Epoxy coating involves applying a layer of epoxy to the inside of the drain, typically cast iron. This technique not only restores the drain's original integrity but also offers a durable alternative to manual drain replacement.

Sewer Liner

A sewer liner is designed for your main sewer line, which carries the largest volume of water and sewage from your home to the city's sewer connection. Typically, the main sewer line is made of terracotta clay, a material prone to root intrusion, breaks, offsets, bellies, and collapses.

A sewer liner is a seamless sleeve installed inside the existing sewer line, conforming to its natural shape. This liner is coated with a resin-based epoxy to ensure it maintains its integrity and prevents further damage.

Hydrojetting

Hydrojetting is an excellent method for cleaning the buildup of soap, sludge, grease, and foreign objects inside your drains and sewer system. This cost-effective service enhances the longevity of your sewer system, providing a temporary solution before committing to long-term repairs.

While hydrojetting may not be a permanent fix, it is an immediate and effective way to restore flow to your sewer system.

Spot Repair

A spot repair is often performed to prevent further damage to your drain and sewer system. This involves replacing the defective section with the same material or plastic (ABS), reducing the risk of needing a more expensive repair.

Drain Repipe

Drain repipes are ideal for homeowners who are tired of making repeated repairs and want a permanent solution to restore proper flow to their drain and sewer system. The invasiveness of the repipe process depends on your home's construction; a slab foundation will require a more invasive approach, while a raised foundation will be less disruptive. A drain repipe involves fully replacing the existing pipes with the same material or ABS piping, ensuring a long-lasting fix.
